Doctors are fond of telling us stuff they know FU** all about. If your mother feels more pain, she feels more pain and that’s it. Believe HER, not some know all quack. Beav

FWIW (not much): Large "deltas" (changes in BG) over a short period of time can do this to me (type I). My father (prob type I) claimed the same thing after a short time with diabetes when he was getting under control (too short for neuropathy to set in, I presume). This could be a neuropathy symptom as well. My last MD claimed neuropathy symptoms transiently get worse when going from long-term hyperglycemia to normal BG levels. In any case, I would believe your mother’s sensations over the lack of description in a textbook. What type of pain does she experience (e.g. limb pain, arthritis, burning, shooting pain, dull ache, etc.) and what do you consider "low"? I would also ask her whether it is caused by large fluctuations in BG rather than lows per se. Hope this helps, Dave S.
Response:
how would they know? if she’s right and it helps her recognise lows-praise the lord. don’t fix anything that ain’t broke. every diabetic is unique!!! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Does anyone feel an increase in their chronic pain when their sugar is low or dropping?
