Clamp on Seats
Question:
I fish several small lakes at the military base near where I live. The recreational services department rent johnboats that are moored to docks in these lakes. After a long day of fishing I usually come home with an aching back. Noticed a clamp on seat at Cabela’s….anyone ever try something similar? They also advertised a clamp called the "cuda clamp" that looks like it would be perfect for the bench seats in a johnboat. Anyone else use anything different….besides a real boat with some real seats?! Hoping to get one and get rid of that back pain. Thanks in advance….Bob
Response:
I used clamp on seats on my 10 ft Jon boat years ago. Worked great. I got the seats separate from the swivel clamps. I got them either at Wal-Mart or E&B Marine (Now WestMarine). Bass Pro probably has them too. I also invested in a clamp-on trolling motor and battery. That might save your back from rowing. Bill
