Help Chronic Pain

Question:

Hi, I also get a "bruised" feeling in my abdomen, on the left side right under my rib cage.  There’s no pattern to it.  It feels like my insides are being squeezed together.  I haven’t asked my doctor about it.  After my lap in February, I didn’t have that feeling for about 2 months, but then it came back.  It doesn’t happen a lot, but it’s very uncomfortable when it does. I always described it as having a truck run over my stomach– back-up, and run over it again.  LOL But I guess a bruised feeling would describe it as well. What we are feeling is the inflammation endo is causing.  Mine tends to be worse during the week before my period and the lower back pain is awful as well. Lupron helped, but it has been over a year since I had that. There are 7 women in my family with endo and we all use heating pads– it does help relieve some of the pressure–like there is a bowling ball inside your stomach. It helps to know that what I am feeling others can relate to and can clam me down. I am going to look for my heating pad! Today seems better…..I am heading now for my worse week……the one before my period. (HUGS)) Ronna
